Steering Lock Housing

CAUTION!
When disconnecting and connecting battery, the procedure must be followed as described in the Repair Information. Refer to => [

‹› To remove steering lock housing, it is first necessary to remove base carrier for steering column switches.

CAUTION!
‹› Steering lock may be destroyed.

‹› If steering lock is operated without lock cylinder, it locks and must be replaced.

‹› Steering lock must not be operated without lock cylinder.

Removing:

Disconnect battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Tools and Equipment/Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

Remove the steering column switch base carrier:
