Drive new seal in as far as stop; be sure not to distort seal.

Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with sealing grease G 052 128 A1

-

Insert flange shaft.

-

Secure flange shaft with countersunk bolt and tighten to torque specification.

-

Install left drive axle.

-

Install left front wheel housing liner.

-

Install wheel.

-

Check gear oil.

-

Install lower part of left front wheel housing line.

-

Install noise insulation.

Up to transmission build date 31 10 4, an intermediate shaft - arrow - is installed between the right drive axle - A - and transmission.

The intermediate shaft is attached onto a stub shaft - arrow -.

As of transmission build date 01 11 4, a flange shaft is installed at right - A -.

The intermediate shaft has been omitted.
