Remove screws - 1 -, remove motor - 2 - and unhook brace.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following.

‹› After installing, check motor/door function.

‹› Initiate "Basic Setting" function using Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051/5052) in operating mode "Guided Fault

Finding" --> [ Climatronic Components, Checking and Adjusting ] See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General
Diagnostics/Climatronic Components, Checking and Adjusting.

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Switch off all electrical consumers.

‹› Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

Remove left footwell air vent --> [ Left Footwell Air Vent ] See: Air Register/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Instrument Panel
Vents.

Remove bracket --> [ 11 Bracket ] See: Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Climatronic Heating and A/C
Unit.

Remove heater core cover.

Disconnect electrical connection from motor - 3 -.
