Removing

–  Remove the three pop rivets -1- and loosen the guide rail - liner -3- out of the frame -2- and the guide liner slide -4-.   Note If the liner guide rail is scratched or damaged or there are plastic shavings, renew liner guide rail.

–  Remove the two pop rivets -1- from the frame and loosen cord shoes.   Note t  Note installation position of the cord shoes. t  If necessary use a punch to remove the pop rivets.

–  To take the guide liner slide -1- off the reinforcement plate -2-, unclip the securing clips -3- of the reinforcement plate with a screwdriver. Start this procedure from the bottom -arrow-.

–  Untie both cords -1- from the liner guide slide and pull out of the centre relay, the lower relay eye and the upper relay -arrows- (the upper relay is not shown in this figure).   Note t  When using a new liner guide slide, cut the cords to ease the procedure. t  Note the installation position of the cords on the liner guide slide, the relays and the lower relay eye.

–  Press the securing clips -1- inwards towards the convertible roof liner. –  Remove roof leading edge trim → Chapter

–  Remove the securing screw on roof leading edge and pull out draw belt with reinforcement plate in -direction of arrow-.
