Removing drive for sliding/tilting sunroof
  Note
Remove and install drive for sliding/tilting roof only when roof is closed ("0" position).
–  Disconnect battery earth strap from battery → Rep. Gr. 27.
   
–  Unclip and remove trim -1- in -direction of arrow-.

–  Remove bolts -1- and carefully unclip retaining frame locking pins -arrows- of the automatic pre-selector.

–  Disconnect connector -arrow-.

–  Pull rear edge of trim (with clock) -1- downwards off roof trim and unhook trim along forward edge.
–  Disconnect connection -2- for interior light (and clock).

–  Press interior rear-view mirror -1- downward at an angle -arrow- off retaining plate (spring clip in mirror base).

–  Lever vanity light out using a screwdriver and disconnect connections.

–  Release sun visor -1- from support -2-.
–  Lever off cap -6-.
–  Remove bolt -5-.
–  Release sun visor mounting -4- from support and separate connector -3-.
–  Lever off cap -7-.
–  Remove screws -8- and remove support -2-.

–  Remove hand holds on left and right sides of roof.
–  Fold grab handle -1- down.
–  Lever covers -2- up using screwdriver and fold open.
–  Unscrew cross-head screws -3- and take off handle -1-.
–  Remove A-pillar trim on left and right sides → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70.

–  Carefully unhook moulded headliner at front of roof cut-out -arrows- and pull downwards until the bolts for the sliding/tilting sunroof can be accessed.
–  Unclip and separate connector.
  M60-0007
–  Remove bolts -arrows- and pull out drive for sliding/tilting sunroof.
The screws for the drive are microencapsulated and must always be renewed (3.5 Nm).
