Safety Precautions For Seatbelt Tensioners
CAUTION:

Checking, removing, installing and servicing may ONLY be performed by qualified personnel.

NEVER open or attempt to repair belt tensioner components; always use new parts (danger of injury).

Seatbelt tensioner units that have been hit with any force or have fallen to the floor, must not be installed in a vehicle.

Always replace belt tensioner units which have experienced technicianal damage (dents, cracks).

Airbag and seat belt tensioner units which have not been marked and returned to the manufacture for disposal (use airbag transport
container)

Belt tensioner storage and transportation are covered under explosive substance laws.

Ignited seatbelt tensioners can be disposed in normal scrap.

ALWAYS install belt tensioner units in the vehicle, as soon as they are removed from the packaging.

NEVER use impact type tools to remove belt tensioners.

If installation work is interrupted, IMMEDIATELY return the belt tensioner unit to its original packaging.

NEVER leave a belt tensioner unattended.

NEVER treat a belt tensioner unit with grease, cleaning products or anything similar. Do NOT expose the belt tensioner unit to
temperatures above 212° F (100° C) even for a few seconds.

The pyrotechnic ignition charge does not have an expiration date, i.e. it has an infinite shelf life and is maintenance free.
