Remove washer and hood for camshaft position sensor.

To guide seal extractor, thread bolt 2085-1 into camshaft onto limit stop by hand.

-

Unscrew inner part of oil seal extractor 2085 two turns (approx. 3 mm) out of outer part and lock with knurled screw.

-

Lubricate threaded head of oil seal extractor, place it in position and exerting firm pressure screw it into oil seal as far as possible.

-

Loosen knurled screw and turn inner part against camshaft until oil seal is pulled out.

Installing

Observe notes

Sealing ring with annular spring

Fit guide sleeve T10071-5 onto camshaft journal.

-

Lightly oil sealing lip of oil seal.

-

Slide seal onto guide sleeve T10071-5.

PTFE seal

-

Before installing, remove oil remains from camshaft journal with a clean cloth.

-

Set oil-free guide sleeve T10071-5 onto camshaft journal.

-

Slide dry seal onto guide sleeve T10071-5.
