Note: Always replace ATF control plug seal (arrow).
At first the ATF present in the overflow pipe (arrow -2-) runs out.
If ATF continues to leak out of the ATF control pipe opening before the ATF temperature has reached 45°C, the ATF level is OK.

Tighten ATF control plug (arrow -1-) (installed with a new seal) to 27 Nm. This completes ATF check.
Note: The ATF control plug must be reinstalled at the latest before the temperature reaches 45°C[1].
[1] 50°C for hot climates
If no ATF leaks out before ATF temperature reaches 45°C, top up ATF.

End function "08. Read measured value (data) block" by touching key -

Press key for function "06. End output".

Switch ignition off and disconnect Data Link Connector (DLC).
ATF, topping off
If no ATF leaks out of overflow pipe (arrow -2-) before ATF temperature reaches 40°C, the ATF must be topped off.
Note: The ATF control plug must be reinstalled at the latest before the temperature reaches 45°C[1]. If necessary, switch off the engine, allow the
transmission to cool down and repeat the check.

When working in the vicinity of the radiator ensure sufficient clearance is left to the radiator coolant fan.

Radiator coolant fan can switch on without prior warning.
