Diesel engines: 96 - 105 bar (1392 - 1523 psi)
Notes:

If the reading is higher or lower than specified. replace the power steering pump.

Removing and installing power steering pump, vehicles with pump in lower section.

If power steering fluid reservoir level is low. check steering system for leaks.
-
For leaks at the pinion: first check the hoses and line connections for leaks and if necessary tighten and wipe dry.

If the pinion seal or the rack seals in steering gear housing are leaking: replace the steering gear.

To check the rack seals: loosen the clamp on the boot and push the boot to one side.
Vehicles with power steering pump in upper section

Remove engine cover (arrows).
-
Clamp return hose using 3094 hose clamp.
-
Clamp suction hose using 3094 hose clamp.
-
Place drip tray underneath.

Disconnect pump pressure line.
