Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Rear Brakes

Removal and Installation

Overview 

CAUTION!  Before working on the brake system, read CAUTIONS and WARNINGS, Refer to Service Precautions.

- Screw
^

Tighten to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.)

- Brake disc
^

Thickness: 9 mm (0.354 inch) 

^

Wear limit: 7 mm (0.275 inch) 

^

When worn, always replace on both sides.

- Cap
^

Removing and installing

Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.

- Selflocking nut
^

Tighten to 175 Nm (129 ft. lbs.) 

^

Always replace after removing

- Wheel hub with wheel bearing and rotor
