Remove axle shaft from vise and re-clamp triple rotor joint housing in vise.

Install rectangular section seal (arrow) from repair kit into groove.
The rectangular section seal, seals the triple-rotor joint directly to the joint flange and it is therefore unnecessary to reinstall the cover.

Press 90 grams (3.2 oz.) of joint grease, from repair kit, into triple-rotor joint.

Press 90 grams (3.2 oz.) of joint grease, from repair kit, into reverse side of triple-rotor joint.

Install triple-rotor joint boot.

Install clamp.

Tighten small clamp using pliers VAG1275.
Installation precautions
CAUTION:

Secure the triple-rotor joint with adhesive tape to prevent the housing from being accidentally pushed back when installing the drive axle.
-
Remove the adhesive tape just before bolting to the drive flange.
