Installing > < Removing and installing door lock with tolerance compensation

Passat (B3)

Removing
–  The door window must be closed.
–  Unclip cover cap.
   
–  To remove and install, operating lever (open door position from inside) must be locked in position with drift Ø 3 mm through hole -1-.

–  Unscrew oval-head countersunk bolts -1-.
–  Pull off door lock slightly and lock operating lever with drift Ø 3 mm through hole -2-.
–  Pull out door lock and unhook pull rod from inner door handle.
