Installing > < Removing and installing seat

Passat (B3)

Removing
Removing
–  Slide seat forwards.
   
–  Unclip cover strip -1- from seat rail and take out from top towards rear.
–  Take off cover on rear side of opposing seat rail.

–  Push together clip -1- and take out -arrow-.
–  Separate connector for seat heating (if fitted).
–  Release detent rod and slide seat back out of guide rails.
  Note
If resistance is encountered in longitudinal adjustment or if play is excessive, rear seat guides and front guide -2- must be checked and renewed if necessary.
