| If the vehicle is to be equipped with a retrofit towing attachment, the following should be observed: |
| The towing attachment is a safety element. Therefore, only a type approved device designed specifically for the vehicle should be used. It is recommended that a towing attachment from the Volkswagen accessory programme is used as it is the same as the factory fitted devices. For these towing attachments, the installation instructions supplied also have Volkswagen's approval. |
