• ◆ Drift 3121
• ◆ Sleeve 30-23
• ◆ Thrust piece support 3123
• ◆ Hand reamer 3120 and cutting fluid

Removing

• ‒ First check whether the valve seat insert rings and if necessary the cylinder head sealing surface can be reworked. If this is not the case then the valve guide should not be replaced.

• ‒ → Press out worn valve guides with 3121 from the combustion chamber side. When doing this use sleeve 30-23 as a support.

Installing

• ‒ → Coat new guides with oil and press in with 3121 from the camshaft side until they make contact with the shoulder in the cold cylinder head. When doing this use support 3123.

Note:

When the shoulder on guide makes contact, the pressure must not exceed 10 kN (approx. 1.0 t) otherwise shoulder may break off.

• ‒ Ream guides out with hand reamer 3120 using plenty of cutting fluid.
• ‒ Rework valve seats .
