Test requirements:
Test requirements:
l  Measuring equipment correctly adjusted.
l  Vehicle unladen → Note.
l  Tyres inflated to correct pressure.
l  Vehicle accurately aligned, suspension bounced and rocked several times.
l  Check suspension, steering and steering linkage for excessive play and damage.
  Note
t  Wheel alignment should not be checked before the vehicle has completed 1,000 to 2,000 km because the coil springs require time to settle.
t  Vibrations in vehicle can also be caused by excessive residual imbalance and/or radial runout of the wheels. Therefore for these complaints see → Running gear fault finding programme - Vehicle imbalance at front and steering wheel vibrations.
1)  "Unladen" means: the weight of the vehicle ready for the road (full tank, spare wheel, vehicle tools and vehicle jack).
