Fault finding with fault reader V.A.G 1551 on ABS, Teves 04 (flow chart)

Note:

The term self diagnosis relates the electric/electronic parts of the ABS, this means, that predominantly only control unit electrical and wiring faults will be detected.

Further repair sequence:

- Again interrogate and erase fault memory with fault reader V.A.G 1551

- Carry out test drive exceeding 40 km/h (25 mph) with an ABS controlled braking

- After the test drive again interrogate fault memory. If after successful repairs and test drive "No fault recognised" appears on the display on the fault reader V.A.G 1551, the self diagnosis is concluded.
