About the Passat
The Passat is Volkswagen's large family car, made since 1973 and named after the German word for the trade winds. It has also been sold as the Dasher, Quantum and Santana, and with 34 million sold it is one of the best-selling cars of all time. It has come as a saloon, estate and hatchback, with four-wheel-drive Syncro and 4Motion versions.
