Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

Vibration Damper

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Counter-Holder Tool (T10069)

‹› Two Arm Puller (T10040)

‹› The two arm puller is only necessary for tight fitting vibration dampers.

Removing

-

Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Ribbed
Belt.

Lock the vibration damper using (T10069).

-

Loosen the vibration damper bolt and unscrew it approximately 10 mm.

If the vibration damper is loose, completely remove the bolt and remove the vibration damper.

If the vibration damper cannot be removed, use (T10040) to remove it.

Installing

CAUTION!
Check the rubber connection between the inner ring and the outer ring of the vibration damper for cracks and flaking. If the rubber
