Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:

Lubricate the outer circumference and sealing lips of the seal with Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).

Drive in the seal until seated using (T10105), do not tilt the seal while doing this.

Install the drive axle.

Check the ATF level and top off if necessary. Refer to => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling ] See: Fluid - A/T/Service
and Repair/Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling.

Install the noise insulation.

‹› The bevel box is removed.

Remove the bevel box, refer to one of the following:

Passat and CC, refer to => [ Bevel Box ] .

Tiguan, refer to => [ Bevel Box ] .

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (40-200 Nm) (V.A.G 1332)

‹› Seal Puller (T10397)

‹› Seal Puller (T10398)

‹› Assembly Tool (T10399)

‹› Thrust Piece (T10400)

Removing

Install the (T10397) to the inside the seal - 2 -.
