Fit locking plate -A- for selector lever cable onto mounting bracket.

Installation position: The angled end of the locking plate must point towards the end of the selector lever cable.

Press together ends of securing clip -B- and slide onto end of selector lever cable.

Install cover.

-

Tighten four nuts to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).

-

Check selector lever cable adjustment, adjust if necessary.

-

Check ignition lock key withdrawal.

-

Install heat shield.

-

Remove catalyst or front exhaust pipe.

-

Install center console and extension.

-

Reconnect ground (GND) strap to battery.

-

Re-code radio.

-

SHIFT MECHANISM, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING 

Lubricate all mounts and sliding surfaces with Polyenic grease Part No. G 052 142 A2.
