Wastegate Actuator: Service and Repair

Turbocharger Vacuum Diaphragm

Removing

-

Remove the turbocharger. Refer to => [ Turbocharger ] See: Service and Repair/Turbocharger.

Loosen the securing plate bolts on the turbocharger under the linkage.

-

Loosen the lock nut - 2 -.

-

Disconnect the linkage - 3 - from the turbocharger. 

-

Remove the vacuum diaphragm - 1 - bolts -  arrows - from the turbocharger.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Adjust the vacuum diaphragm. Refer to => [ Turbocharger Vacuum Diaphragm, Adjusting ] See: Adjustments.

Install the turbocharger. Refer to => [ Turbocharger ] See: Service and Repair/Turbocharger.
