Fitting upholstery and padding
Fitting upholstery and padding
–  Place underlay and padding onto backrest frame.
   
–  Place sliding cloth -1- to facilitate fitting upholstery onto top edge of padding.
–  To facilitate installation, heat upholstery to 30 °C.

–  Draw backrest upholstery on until ends of padding wire -1- can be guided through padding and attached to backrest frame.
–  Install padding clips -2- with upholstery clip pliers -V.A.G 1634- (sport seat only).
–  Pull backrest upholstery on completely.

–  Install guides -1- and -2- for headrest. (Guide -2- with pushbutton on left in direction of travel).

–  Attach tensioning wires -1- (sport seats only).
–  Join clip profiles -2- on underside of backrest.
–  Complete backrest with headrest and operating handle with trim (two-door vehicles only).
