1 - | Brake servo |
q | With wiring harness and brake pressure senders -items → Item and → Item- |
q | On petrol engines the vacuum required is taken from the intake manifold |
q | On diesel engines a vacuum pump is installed to create the required vacuum → Chapter |
q | Functional check: |
– | With engine switched off, depress brake pedal firmly several times (to exhaust the vacuum in the unit) |
– | Then hold brake pedal in applied position employing moderate force and start engine. If the servo unit is working properly, the pedal will give slightly under foot (servo assistance becomes activated) |
q | If faulty renew complete |
q | Separating from brake pedal → Chapter |
q | Non-return valve (in vacuum hose) → Chapter |
Functional check: |
– | You should be able to blow air through the valve in the direction of the arrow |
– | The valve must not allow anything to pass in the opposite direction of the arrow |

q | Secured to edge of brake servo |
q | Used to mount the connector housing -item → Item |
3 - | Cap |
4 - | Brake fluid warning level contact |
5 - | Brake fluid reservoir |
6 - | Sealing plug |
q | Moisten with brake fluid and press into reservoir |
7 - | Retaining pin |
q | Insert through brake master cylinder |
8 - | Brake master cylinder |
q | Must not be repaired. If faulty, renew complete |
9 - | Self-locking hexagon nut, 20 Nm |
10 - | Mounting |
q | Used to mount the connector housing, wiring harness and brake lines |
11 - | Brake pressure sender -G201- |
q | Removing and installing → Chapter |
12 - | Connector housing |
13 - | Brake pressure sender -G214- |
q | Removing and installing → Chapter |
14 - | Seal |
q | Renew |
