q   In engine compartment.

Removing
–  Remove dash panel → Rep. Gr.70.
–  Place drip tray -VAS 6208- beneath engine.
  WARNING
Danger of scalding injuries.
The cooling system is pressurised. When the engine is warm, the coolant temperature may be above 100° C.
If necessary, release pressure before carrying out repairs.
–  Clamp off coolant hoses in engine compartment using hose clamps up to 40 mm Ø -3093- and remove from heat exchanger.
–  Place a compressed air pistol in heat exchanger connection and carefully blow out remaining coolant.
–  Remove hexagon nut → Item.
Installing
–  Guide heater unit to bulkhead and push studs through intended holes.
–  At the same time, make sure that heater unit sits on guide pin → Item against stop.
–  Screw hexagon nuts → Item onto bulkhead in engine compartment and tighten them.
–  Check coolant level and top up → Rep. Gr.19.
