→ From 27.04.95 the automatic adjustment (arrow) has been discontinued.

• ‒ The clutch cable can once again be adjusted .

Removing

• ‒ → Loosen lock nut and adjusting nut (arrow).
• ‒ Unhook clutch cable at gearbox operating lever.
• ‒ Pull rubber buffer out of support on gearbox.
• ‒ Unhook clutch cable from clutch pedal =>from page 30-23 .
  
• ‒ Pull clutch cable out of retainer on bulkhead and remove.

Installing

• ‒ Lubricate clutch cable attachment point at clutch pedal with MoS2 grease.

• ‒ Push clutch cable through bulkhead and clip bellows in position.
• ‒ Attach clutch cable to clutch pedal.
• ‒ → Press rubber buffer -A- into support.
• ‒ Attach clutch cable -B- to release lever.
• ‒ Push clutch cable into retainer on bulkhead.

Adjusting clutch cable

• ‒ → Loosen lock nut and adjusting nut (arrow).
• ‒ Adjust clutch via adjusting nut so that there is free play of 15 ... 20 mm at clutch pedal.
• ‒ Secure adjusting nut with lock nut.

Note:

The new clutch cable can also be installed in older vehicles.
