Removing

• ‒ Disconnect earth strap from battery

Note:

Note radio coding for vehicles with coded radio.

• ‒ Tension clutch cable and remove from gearbox.

• ‒ → Pull stowage compartment, below dash panel, out of mountings but first push stops in direction of arrow.

• ‒ → Unbolt cover (arrows)
• ‒ Remove relay plate from mounting;

Note:

Do not pull connectors off relays and wiring.

• ‒ → Remove cover for clutch pedal from mounting bracket (arrows -1- and -2-).

• ‒ → Unhook clutch cable from clutch pedal (arrow).

• ‒ → Unbolt hexagon nut (arrow 1) for clutch pedal and brake pedal pivot pin and remove complete with washer.
• ‒ Pull pivot pin out carefully (arrow 2).

Note:

Do not move brake pedal. After pulling out pivot pin it is no longer secured.

• ‒ Take out clutch pedal.

Installing

• ‒ Lubricate all bearings and contact surfaces with MoS2 grease.

• ‒ Fit clutch pedal with washer onto pivot pin.
• ‒ Push pivot pin for clutch pedal and brake pedal in onto stop; when doing this move brake pedal slightly if necessary.
• ‒ Fit washer and nut and tighten.
• ‒ → Hook clutch cable into clutch pedal (arrow).
• ‒ Install clutch cable to gearbox.

• ‒ → Engage cover in mounting bracket (arrows).
• ‒ Insert relay plate into mounting; check wiring and relay connectors and press fully home if necessary.
• ‒ Install cover and stowage compartment below dash panel.
• ‒ Check clutch cable function =>Page 30-5
