t  Adapter cable (68-pin) -V.A.G 1598/18A- or adapter -V.A.G 1598/22-
t  Hand multimeter -V.A.G 1526C- or multimeter -V.A.G 1715-
t  Auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594C-
t  Current flow diagram
Test procedure
–  Pull connector off exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18- → Chapter.
   
–  Measure resistance at exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18-.
Specification:
Engine codes AGD, AHG: 52.5…62.5 Ω
Engine code AKU: 14…18 Ω
If the specification is not achieved:
–  Renew exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18-
  Note
At room temperature, the resistance is in the lower tolerance range and at engine operating temperature in the upper tolerance range.
