  • ◆ Welding and straightening work on steering components is not permitted.

  • Hexagon nut, 50 Nm
  • Shear bolt
    • ◆ Tighten until head shears off
    • ◆ Drill out to remove

  • Captivated nut
    • ‒ Remove captivation from joint and replace nut
    • ◆ Do not re-use captivation
    • ◆ Use self-locking nut like item -22 -
  • Hexagon bolt, 30 Nm
  • Lower steering column bearing
    • ◆ Pull out=>Page 48-30
    • ◆ Drive in with synthetic head hammer
  • Bearing bracket
  • Hexagon nut, 6 Nm
