Adapting distance travelled display
  Note
t  The following sequence is described for the fault reader -V.A.G 1551-, the sequence described in the chapter for the “vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system may also be used” → Chapter.
t  The total distance travelled by the vehicle can be read off the defective dash panel insert or determined using the service schedule.
t  The total distance travelled displayed on the new dash panel insert must not be more than 100 km before the adaptation.
t  The total distance travelled to be transferred to the new dash panel insert must exceed 100 km.
t  Adaptation of the total distance travelled is only possible once and then only in a positive direction.
t  The adaptation can be interrupted with the C key of the fault reader -V.A.G 1551-.
t  It is not possible to correct an incorrect entry once it has been confirmed. In this case the dash panel insert would need to be exchanged for a new one.
t  The adaption must take place in kilometres for countries with a display in miles. Therefore convert adaption value from miles to kilometres.
Example:
The defective dash panel insert has an odometer display of 89627 km. This kilometre reading can be transferred to the new dash panel insert as follows:
