  Note
t  The following table lists all the faults that can be recognised by the data bus diagnostic interface -J533-. The faults are listed in order according to their 5-figure code numbers.
t  Before renewing components, check the wiring and connections to these components as well as the earth connections, referring to the current flow diagram.
t  When repair has been carried out, the fault memory must always be read again and erased.

Control unit incorrectly coded.   
 
–  A control unit connected to the powertrain data bus has been incorrectly coded.
–  A control unit connected to the powertrain data bus is defective.
Poor driving characteristics
(gear change jolt, load change jolt)
No ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme).
–  Read data block → Chapter.
–  Read fault memories of all control units connected to powertrain data bus and rectify any faults.
–  Check and if necessary correct control unit coding.
–  If necessary renew control unit.
