Generator (Alternator)C - check Poly-V belt

Generator (Alternator) -C- - check Poly-V belt

Note

If failures are detected, the Poly-V belt must be replaced, to prevent operation failures or anomalies.

–	Turn engine manually using the crankshaft pulley -arrow-.

–	With the vehicle raised, check Poly-V belt -1- for:

t	Cracks in the lower section (slots, centre fractures, transversal fractures)

t	Layer separation (cover layer, cords)

t	Fissure on lower section

t	Fraying of cord strands

t	Worn toothed sides (material wearing, frayed toothed sides, toothed side hardening - glassy toothed sides), surface cracks.

t	Contact with oil and grease
