t
On this engine, the connections for the pressurised fuel hoses have a so-called 3-ribbed section (arrows). This reduces the likelihood of fuel system leaks.
t
When removing the fuel hoses, the very thin sealing layer on the inside of the fuel hoses is usually damaged.
t
This damage cannot be detected with the naked eye. After some time, this may lead to leaks in the fuel system.
t
When fitting the fuel hoses on the connections again, it is impossible to guarantee that the position of the hoses on the three ribs will be the same as before. This also leads to a tendency to form leaks.
Caution Once the fuel hoses have been removed from connections with a 3-ribbed section, they must be replaced with new ones. |
