Removing and installing fuel filter (CFWA)
Removing
Carry out the following work:
→ Chapter „Safety precautions“
→ Chapter „Rules for cleanliness“
  Note
t  Detach push-on connectors → Chapter
t  Fuel hoses in the engine compartment → Chapter
   
–  Push push-on connectors -1- in -the direction of the arrow- against the connections -3- of the fuel filter -2-.

–  Simultaneously press and hold down the two locks -arrows-of the fuel hose to be removed.
–  Pull off fuel lines -1- from fuel filter -2-.

–  Unclip the fuel filter -1- at the latches -3-.
–  Remove fuel filter -1- upwards.
Installing
Install in reverse order. In the process, note the following:
t  Observe installation position of fuel filter. The indented arrows on the filter mark the fuel input and output.
t  Note allocation → Chapter.
t  Route fuel hoses without kinking.
t  Ensure that quick-release couplings are firmly seated. Check that it has engaged securely by pulling on it.

–  Place the retainer ring -2- with the guide -arrow- correctly on the → Item fuel filter -1- connection.
–  Clip retainer ring -2- onto the fuel filter -1-.
–  Puch fuel filter -1- up to the stop in the retainer.
–  Make sure that the retainers -3- engage in the recesses provided in the retainer ring -2-.
–  Bleed fuel system → Rep. gr.23.
