Removing and installing the fuel filter (CAYA, CAYB, CAYC)
Removing and installing the fuel filter (CAYA, CAYB, CAYC)
Removing
Carry out the following work:
→ Chapter „Safety precautions“
→ Chapter „Rules for cleanliness“
   
–  Open the fuel hose clamps and pull off the fuel hoses at the fuel filter → Chapter.

–  Unclip the fuel filter -1- at the latches -3-.
–  Remove fuel filter -1- upwards.
Installing
Install in reverse order. In the process, note the following:
t  Observe installation position of fuel filter. The indented arrows on the filter mark the fuel input and output.
t  Note allocation → Chapter.
t  Route fuel hoses without kinking.
t  Ensure that fuel hose connections are tight.
t  Clip fuel and coolant hoses into retainers again.

–  Place the retainer ring -2- with the guide -arrow- correctly on the → Item fuel filter -1- connection.
–  Clip retainer ring -2- onto the fuel filter -1-.
–  Push fuel filter -1- up to the stop in the retainer.
–  Make sure that the retainers -3- engage in the recesses provided in the retainer ring -2-.
