Bleeding steering system
–  Raise vehicle until front wheels are free.
–  Remove front left wheel (if not already done).
–  Remove front left wheel housing liner (if not already done) → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. Gr.66.
–  Check hydraulic fluid level and top up if necessary → Chapter.
–  Start engine and run at idle speed for about 5 seconds.
–  Switch off engine and check hydraulic fluid level.
–  Repeat procedure.
–  Start engine again and with engine idling, turn steering wheel from lock to lock three times.
–  Switch off engine and check hydraulic fluid level. Top up if necessary.
–  Repeat procedure two times.
Leave engine off for 2 to 3 minutes to allow air bubbles to escape from hydraulic fluid.
–  Lower vehicle.
–  With engine idling, turn steering wheel five times from lock to lock.
The system is bled when no more air bubbles rise into hydraulic fluid reservoir.
–  Once bleeding procedure is complete, screw cap hand tight onto reservoir of motor/pump unit.
