Arrow A - Gear movement

Arrow B - Selection movement

A - Shift cable for gear movement
B - Selector cable for selector movement
C - Heat shield

Remove before removing gear selector mechanism.

Note:

Note radio coding for vehicles with coded radio.

For work on shift mechanism in engine compartment, disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.

If battery is re-connected, please note work after re-connecting battery.

When working on the selector mechanism in the engine compartment, remove the complete air filter housing, if it is located above the selector
mechanism.

^

To replace operating cables, remove shift mechanism.

^

Do not bend operating cables.
