Halogen Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor, Hella

Removing

NOTE:

-

If adjustment motors are removed and installed or replaced, headlamp adjustment must be checked and headlamp must be adjusted if necessary.

Illustrations depict replacement of Headlamp beam adjusting motor at right headlamp.

Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

Remove headlamp

-

Rotate cover cap - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and remove it.

-

Disconnect the connector - 2 - on the headlamp range control positioning motor - 1 -.

-

Turn headlamp beam adjusting motor - 1 - in - direction of arrow A - and pull out slightly from mount - 2 -.

Move headlamp beam adjusting motor - 1 - so that ball head - 3 - can removed from Headlamp Beam Adjusting Motor in - direction of arrow B -
out of ball head mount - 4 -

Remove headlamp beam adjusting motor out of headlamp housing.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
