Brake pedal not depressed:

Selector lever is locked and cannot be shifted out of position "N" with press button depressed. Selector lever is blocked by selector lever lock
solenoid.

Brake pedal depressed:

Selector lever lock solenoid releases selector lever. Selecting a driving mode is possible.

Selector Lever in Tiptronic Position

Move selector lever into tiptronic gate:

Brightening of "D" symbol must go out in selector mechanism cover and "+" and "-" symbols must light up.

The selector lever display in instrument cluster must change from "P R N D S" to "6 5 4 3 2 1" when selector lever is shifted to Tiptronic gate.

Ignition and Light Switched On

The appropriate symbol is being lit up in shift mechanism cover.

Selector Lever Position Display

Simultaneous lighting of all segments of Transmission Range (TR) selector lever display indicates transmission is in emergency running mode.

Selector Lever Emergency Release

Selector Lever Emergency Release - 09G, 6 Speed A/T FWD

Do not remove knob.

Unclip shift cover and hold aside.

-

Pedal brake or engage parking brake.

-

Press yellow plastic part from right to left.

Lever can now be shifted off position "P".

Handle, Removing

For all knobs there is the possibility to push the button into the knob. Do not install the knob with the button pushed in under any
circumstance.
