Scirocco L4-1715cc 1.7L SOHC (1983)
7. Disconnect coolant hoses at heater core.
8. Disconnect all electrical wires and vacuum hoses.
9. Remove capillary tube from evaporator copper tube.
10. Remove bolts holding evaporator case to the water tray.
11. Remove the cover and drain hose.
12. Remove the glove box.
13. Remove the knee bar (if equipped).
14. Remove the evaporator assembly by pushing out toward the passenger side (two people may be necessary, one pulling up on the dash as required,
the other removing the evaporator assembly).
