Utility Storage Compartment: Service and Repair

Console in Headliner

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Trim removal wedge (3409)

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Remove the front interior and reading lamps - 1 -.

-

Remove the two bolts - 2 - (3 Nm).

-

Remove the two screws (3 Nm) in the storage compartment -  3 -.

-

Remove the screw (3 Nm) in the storage compartment - 4 -. 

-

Remove the two bolts - 5 - (3 Nm).

-

Pull the console diagonally downward out of the brackets in the headliner. Begin at the rear of the console.

-

Pull the console, near the interior and reading lamps, to the rear out of the brackets.
