Volkswagen Workshop Service and Repair Manuals

A Tighten the bolts - 1 - to 5 Nm.
B Tighten the bolts - 2 - to 23 Nm.
C Tighten the bolts - 1 - to 10 Nm.

The rest of the installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Install crankshaft seal. Refer to --> [ Seal, Flywheel Side ] See: Seal, Flywheel Side.

Install oil pan. Refer to --> [ Oil Pan ] See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Pan/Service and Repair.

Install drive plate. Refer to --> [ Drive Plate ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flex Plate/Service and Repair/Drive Plate.

Install the engine and the transmission. Refer to --> [ Engine, Installing ] See: Service and Repair/Engine Installing.
