Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
  W00-0427
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1332-
Carry out the following work:
Removing
–  Remove noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.66.
–  Raise wheel bearing to unladen position → Chapter.

–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Pull anti-roll bar clamp off bush.
–  Detach bush from anti-roll bar.
Installing
  N40-10592
–  Insert new bush -1- on anti-roll bar through opening -arrow-.
  Note
t  Ensure that the outer edge of bush -1- lies against stop -2-.
t  Depending on version, the stop -2- can be located on the left or on the right of bush.

–  Secure clamps to subframe -arrows-.
–  Install lower noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.66.

Specified torques

Anti-roll bar to subframe
t  Use new bolts.
20 Nm + 90° further
