Effective immediately, SAE 75W/90 synthetic oil must be used as replacement oil for final drive units of automatic transmissions 010, 087, 089, 090,
096 and 098.

If the final drive contains standard oil, drain the oil completely and refill with synthetic oil. Do not mix synthetic oil with standard gear oil.

Synthetic oil is available as follows:

CAUTION

Use ONLY the synthetic oil specified above for Volkswagen final drive units.
