Piston Installation
Install piston in cylinder:

Turn crankshaft so that crank pin for cylinder points straight down.

Install piston, using piston ring compressor.

Use a hammer handle to push down piston.
Important! The marking on the piston must point forward.
Torque Connecting Rod Caps
Install connecting rod cap:

Check that markings on connecting rod and cap coincide.

Check bolt lengths.

Old bolts may be used, provided length does not exceed 55.5 mm (2.185 in)

Oil bolts and install them.
Tighten in two stages:

1. 20 Nm (15 ft lbs).
-
2. Angle-tighten 90°
Install remaining pistons.

After fitting each cap, check that crankshaft can be rotated.
