Axle Bearing: Service and Repair

1.
Raise rear of vehicle and support on jack stands.
2.
Remove brake caliper and disc.
3.
Remove axle shaft retaining nuts. Using tool 2709 or other suitable puller, pull out axle shaft.
4.
Pull out inner seal ring with a screwdriver.
5.
Remove and reinstall bearing using tool Nos. 2838 & 5010 or equivalent, Fig. 1.
6.
Install inner seal in axle housing using tool Nos. 5009 and 1801 or equivalent.
