In addition to the information found in Service Bulletin Group

87 No. 101, the drain tube may cause condensation leakage into the vehicle's interior.

During the installation of the combined unit, the drain tube is glued to the housing. This glue, in some cases, may block the entire drain opening and
prevent drainage.

Another important step is to make sure the lips on the bottom of the tube are not cut. Cutting these lips will allow an air flow back-up into the housing
and prevent drainage. This happens mainly on fan speeds 3 and 4.
