If the reading is OK
Intermittent fault.
-Check the connections for contact resistance and clean the RPM sensor connector.
If the reading is Incorrect
-Check that the drive plate/flywheel is true and not damaged in such a way that the RPM sensor sends a faulty signal. The drive plate is very
susceptible to mechanical damage. Never use the drive plate to turn the engine or as a counterhold.
-Clean the RPM sensor connector.
-Try using a new RPM sensor if no fault can be detected.
