Volvo has announced a Service Campaign affecting certain model year 1991, 1992, and 1993 240 series vehicles (see VIN span below). Service Bulletin
76-105 was recently issued, describing the sway bar bushing replacement on the 21 mm Sway Bar only.
ALL vehicles within the VIN span of Recall 61 are included in this Service Campaign. These customers will receive a letter to be included in their Recall
61 mailing, advising them that this Service Campaign will be done in conjunction with Recall 61.
Customers whose vehicles are included in the sway bar VIN span but are not part of Recall 61 will receive a notice from Volvo at a later date. IN THE
MEAN-TIME, should any of these affected vehicles enter your service department, the sway bar bushing replacement should be performed as per the
Service Bulletin Technical Instructions.

A separate warranty claim (W-claim type) should be submitted following standard procedures.

PARTS ORDERING
An initial allocation of the bushing will be done during the week of October 19, 1992. This one time allocation will equal approximately 25% of the
vehicles involved. After this allocation you may order additional quantities using normal ordering procedures.
CAMPAIGN RESPONSIBILITY
Dealers are to replace the sway bar bushings on all vehicles within the VIN Range regardless of mileage or age. This repair is free-of-charge to the
owner.
A new type of rubber bushing for the front sway bar for 240 Series cars has been introduced. Approximately 35,000 vehicles were equipped with the old
type bushings.
