WEAR-NEW ROUTING OF VACUUM HOSES. P70 1985-1986 with B230F ENGINES (NON-TURBO)
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO THE U.S. AND CANADA.
A new routing has been introduced in production to prevent the vacuum hoses between the canister and the intake manifold from wearing the intake air
bellows. If wear is found, the bellows should be replaced and the vacuum hoses rerouted as shown below.
Check air hose bellows

Remove bellows
-
Bend bellows and check for signs of wear marks and leakage

Reinstall bellows or replace if necessary
Reroute vacuum hoses

Remove hoses at throttle housing
-
Reroute hoses between the throttle housing and the PCV hose (as illustrated)

Make sure the hoses are not kinked
